The NHIC team has once again demonstrated their expertise in delivering custom outdoor living solutions with the construction of this Stratco Outback Gable Pergola. The steel house frame presented a few challenges for the team but nothing we couldn’t work around. Traditional methods of attaching pergolas through engineered brackets were not viable, as the steel frame could not accommodate the necessary fixtures. This obstacle, however, became an opportunity for NHIC to think outside the box and deliver a custom solution that not only met but exceeded the homeowner’s expectations. In collaboration with our engineering team, NHIC installed a freestanding structure that elegantly butts up against the house, seamlessly integrating with the existing architecture without compromising the integrity of the steel frame. This was achieved through the strategic use of Offset Posts, which were meticulously bolted to the brickwork, providing a sturdy and reliable foundation for the pergola.

The Stratco Outback frame and roof sheets, chosen in the pristine colour of Alpine White, reflect a modern and sophisticated look that brightens the outdoor space. Complementing the clean lines and crisp white of the structure, the guttering and barge capping were finished in Caulfield Green. This thoughtful selection ties the new addition into the existing colour scheme of the home, creating a cohesive and harmonious exterior.
